I think this kind of stuff is a joke! We all need to step up and recycle more, and those of us who own companies need to focus on being the most effective and efficient because as a whole companies have much more impact than one individual does. Recycling should not be a commodity market. I would be a proponent of no-flexibility for the companies and requiring them to comply, with the exception of allowing for an average of recycled materials used in all their containers rather than requiring each and every one to have that percentage of recycled material. I think we should also raise the percentage to 35% if feasible, and have a tiered structure that increments the required recycled content up in the future.
Today was my birthday. I’m 29 now and a whole year closer to the big three-oh. A wise man always says “What does this mean?”
Well, what this means is that I’m officially a year older – duh. I’m also not a kid anymore and that’s kind of hard to believe. I feel so young, and some times when I’m around older friends I feel like I’m still in my early 20s.
I’ve been wanting to go to Belize for quite some time, especially since I built this little Belize Real Estate web site. I’m finally going now – I’m super excited! Okay, well I’m going in April but I’m still super excited.
Most of the time I don’t even book tickets this far in advance, so I don’t have the time for anticipation. Like last year, Jamaica tickets were booked on the same day I left, just 12 hours before. I also got a killer deal on a cheap ticket to Belize – only $498 when everything else was in the $650+ range. No wanky 3-stops, and good times of the day too.
I’m going to check out Corozal for sure, and maybe Ambergris Caye/San Pedro, Placencia and Caye Caulker. Maybe a few other places if I have time. If I had more time, I’d do one of these Belize Kayaking trips.
Last night Mr. Kilimanjaro aka Styx, Hydro and I hit the (icy) slopes at Skibowl for some night skiing/boarding. I haven’t been on a board for about 4 years, and back then I wasn’t much good either. This was Hydro’s 2nd time, and I gotta say he did really, really well apart from one or two spine-cracking falls.
