Happy birthday to me.

Today was my birthday. I’m 29 now and a whole year closer to the big three-oh. A wise man always says “What does this mean?”

Well, what this means is that I’m officially a year older - duh. I’m also not a kid anymore and that’s kind of hard to believe. I feel so young, and some times when I’m around older friends I feel like I’m still in my early 20s.

It’s kind of hard to believe how fast life has gone now. People used to tell me when I was a kid to not be in such a hurry to grow up, since it would just fly by when I actually was grown up. I now believe them. I also believe all the other stuff they told me, that I didn’t believe then. They were right, and I was just a know-it-all, rebellious kid. But I still don’t follow the speed limit, so there!

To celebrate, we went out to HairM and got hair cuts, if you can call it that. Officially known as the “royal buzz” it’s actually a crew cut. I’m kind of an egg-head so maybe the crew cut wasn’t the best idea…. oh well, too late now. It was a bit shocking at first, but I actually like it now. We’ll see when mom gets home, she’s going to hate it, I know. Sorry mums - I still love ya and it will grow back. I hope. Its kind of a shocker to do on my b-day though. I mean, it makes me think about what I will look like in another 10 years, with a big bald spot. It’s in my genes I think, so that may be unavoidable without hair club for men.

After that, Keener and I went to the 80’s arcade and played Galaga, Spy Hunter and a couple car racing games. We got totally hooked on one, and spent about $6 in quarters continuing the whole time cause we were no good. We also grabbed some food during the night, and talked about some cool ideas to do in Belize while we’re there on our Belize trip.
